Due to the recent high number of foreclosures in Cape Coral & Fort Myers, Pelican Pool Service has been very busy cleaning green pools (aka swamps). Although these are some of the dirtiest jobs, they are also the most rewarding. We can usually take a swamp, and have the water crystal clear and free of any algae and debris within 5-7 days. Most of the green pools can be chemical treated, but in some instances they may need to be drained, acid washed, then refilled. One of the disadvantages of having a pool drained is the cost to fill it. On the other hand you can have your pool up and running and safe to swim in within a couple days.
Just last week we chemical treated a swampy pool for the homeowner to help sell the home. Within a few days they got an offer and it sold! When you can’t see the bottom of a pool, you don’t know the condition of the pool and may end up dumping thousands of dollars into repairing or resurfacing the pool. This scares away many potential buyers. A clear pool will help you sell your home!
